The Council of Legal Education (CLE) on May 19, 2025, visited Glorious Vision University (formerly Samuel Adegboyega University), Ogwa, Edo State, for resource verification for law programme. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ezekiel S. Asemah and the university management received the team in his office at 10:45am.
The 5-man team was led by the Director General of CLE, Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma (SAN). The Vice Chancellor welcomed the team and thanked God for the safe journey granted to all of them.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated the team for coming to add value to the university. Professor Asemah noted that Glorious Vision University is a growing institution committed to academic excellence in all ramifications.
He highlighted the core values upon which the university was founded to include academic excellence, research innovation, among others.
The Vice Chancellor gave a brief history of the university, telling the team the achievements recorded in his time from Acting Vice Chancellor to Substantive Vice Chancellor. He noted that he was committed to providing the necessary resources needed to run a standard law college.
He, however, noted that just like every other university, Glorious Vision University has her own challenges, but God is helping the university to scale through those challenges.
In response to the Vice Chancellor's remarks, Professor Chiroma thanked the Vice Chancellor for the warm reception they received upon arrival and commended him for making the necessary arrangements to invite CLE for resource verification. He noted that the essence of the exercise was to assess the human and material resources in the university for the smooth running of the College of Law.
He sympathized with the university on the challenges reflected by the Vice Chancellor.
The team, thereafter, went round to inspect both human and material resources on ground for running the College of Law.
After the inspection, the team returned to the Vice Chancellor's office at 3pm to give their exit report.
The Vice Chancellor responded by deeply appreciating the team for taking out time to inspect both human and material resources.
