CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR REGISTRY STAFF BY DR. (MRS.) P.O. AFOLABI

The Registry Department of Glorious Vision University kick-started its monthly capacity building workshop in April 2025, aiming to enhance efficiency and service delivery. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ezekiel Shegun Asemah, officially declared the workshop open.

The Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) P.O. Afolabi, delivered a lecture titled"The Strategic Approach to the Role of Registry in University Administration." She emphasized the Registry Department's crucial role in providing support and essential services, highlighting key responsibilities such as:  
          

- Records keeping
- Policy implementation
- Governance support
- Communication and coordination
- Staff administration
- Student administration
- Stakeholders relation
- Quality assurance
- Administrative support
- Event management - Legal matter

The workshop introduced 21st-century administrative approaches, encouraging robust discussions and fruitful recommendations. Registry staff from both Ogwa and Lagos campuses participated actively. 
       
The workshop was well-attended by notable personalities, including:
- Vice-Chancellor
- Ag. Bursar
- University Chaplain
- Dean of Post Graduate School
- Deans of various Colleges
- Ag. Dean of Students Affairs Division
The workshop concluded with syndicate groups presenting recommendations to drive the university forward. Watch out for the communiqué, which will outline the key outcomes and recommendations.
